From Almost Shutting Her Business Down to Spending a Month in France. This Is What Transformation Looks Like.

"I want the business to be successful whether I am there or whether I am in France."

She said that during our podcast interview a few weeks ago. And I have not stopped thinking about it since. Because when I first met her she could not have imagined saying those words. She could not have imagined being in France at all.

When Kim first came to me she was barely profitable, paying herself almost nothing, and quietly considering walking away from a business she had spent almost twenty years building. She had a luxury interior design firm generating almost a million dollars in revenue, a reputation built entirely on word of mouth, and a money story running quietly in the background that was costing her everything.

In the four articles before this one we followed her through the money story work that changed her relationship with her numbers, the hire that scared her and unlocked her capacity, the Signature Profit Plan that revealed exactly why she was not profitable and what her pricing needed to look like, and the decision to get selective with her clients that nearly doubled her revenue.

This is where that journey ends. And where everything she built finally comes full circle.

She had built something extraordinary, although she could not feel it. The business that should have been generating real wealth, real freedom, and real joy for her and her family was instead generating exhaustion, financial stress, and a quiet but persistent voice that whispered maybe it was time to stop. That is a heavy thing to carry. And she had been carrying it for a long time.

In one of our conversations Kim said something that has stayed with me. The biggest thing she gained from our work together was not the revenue or the pricing model or the team. It was the confidence and the clarity.

And that is exactly right. Because confidence and clarity are not soft outcomes. They are the foundation that every single tangible result in this story was built on. You cannot rebuild your pricing without them. You cannot make the hire that scares you without them. You cannot get selective with your clients without them. And you cannot step into the CEO role your business needs you in without them.

The work we did together moved through all three phases of Manifest. Manage. Multiply. And looking back now it is clear that each phase was essential and none of it could have happened out of order. We could not have built the Signature Profit Plan until the money story was heard. She could not have made the hiring decision until the beliefs underneath it were cleared. She could not have gotten selective with her clients until she had the confidence and clarity that only comes from truly understanding her numbers. Each phase built on the one before it. And together they built something none of them could have built alone.

The biggest transformation was not in her revenue or her pricing or her team. It was in who she became through the process. She came to me as a talented designer who had been running a business for almost twenty years and still felt like she was somehow behind. She left as a CEO who understood her numbers, trusted her instincts, led her team with intention, and had built a business that could generate wealth whether she was in the office or on the other side of the world.

Today Kim leads a team of five, including two full time designers. She has grown from one location to two. Her revenue grew from just under $1 million dollars to $1.7 million the following year and this year she is on track for multi-million dollar revenue. Her profit soared by over 1,000%. And she just spent an entire month in France with her family while her business ran without her.

That is not a vacation story. That is a transformation story.

And here is the full circle moment that I cannot stop thinking about. The woman who sat across from me barely profitable, paying herself almost nothing, and quietly considering walking away from everything she had built is now so in love with her business that selling it is not even a conversation she is having anymore. She is not thinking about an exit. She is thinking about what the next chapter looks like and how much bigger she can dream.

She said it herself on the podcast when I asked her about building a business she could one day sell or pass on:

"I think that is a possibility. I think I wanted it sooner years ago, but now I am like thinking that I am okay being a part of it for longer."

And then she said something that I think is the most beautiful thing a business owner can say after the journey she has been on.

"It is so much more fun now."

I will be honest with you. When I think about where Kim started and where she stands today, it makes me want to cry. Because this is exactly why I do this work. Not for the revenue numbers or the profit percentages, as extraordinary as they are. But for the moment a woman who was ready to walk away from everything she built falls back in love with it instead.

From almost shutting her business down to loving it so much she never wants to leave. That is what transformation looks like. One brave woman who raised her hand, scheduled a session with me, and decided that what she had built deserved a real chance to thrive, that started with finally allowing herself to see her business clearly for the very first time. And if Kim’s story has resonated with you at any point in this series, I want you to know that the same courage that changed everything for her is already inside you. You just have to be brave enough to take that first step.

If you have read all five articles in this series, first of all thank you. What you just witnessed was one woman’s complete transformation, and the fact that you stayed for all of it tells me something important about you.

The women who come to me are not lacking talent, drive or even vision. They are stalled because they have been carrying a story that was never theirs to carry, and that story has been quietly making every financial decision in their business without their permission. And because no one has ever sat down with them and given them the financial knowledge and clarity they needed to see their business for what it truly is and what it is truly capable of becoming, a wealth building machine.

Kim’s transformation did not begin with uncovering money stories, building a Signature Profit Plan, or watching her revenue grow. All of that came later. It started with one brave step. She raised her hand and said I need help seeing this clearly. And everything that followed came from that single moment of courage.

If you are ready to raise your hand and take the next step, I would love to be the one sitting across from you. Because I want to be writing about you next. I want you to be my next big success story. And I believe with everything I have that the same transformation Kim experienced is available to you too.

It all starts with you raising your hand for a complimentary 20 minute Financial Clarity Session. It is a real compassionate conversation about where you are right now, what your numbers might be telling you, and what becomes possible when you finally have the confidence and clarity to lead your business like the CEO I know you can be.
